What the U.S. holdings will be when the next report comes out in another 7 weeks or so is uncertain. There will have been more than $600 billion in new commitments for Quantitative Easing by the Federal Reserve in the last few months. The US debt ceiling has been an ongoing issue. The U.S. could always try unloading some gold to depress rising commodity prices rather than to increase the deficit, but unfortunately that would only last a few months. If it did sell some of the shiny gold metal, Uncle Sam would have to find huge amounts of gold later. Besides, it is arguable whether countries are any good at price intervention. The lackluster economic recovery may result in little change in the gold holdings of Uncle Sam in 2011.

Interesting Real Estate Trends

The American housing market appears to be recovering rapidly as indicated by this data. It is beyond just a theoretical trend in a leading indicator. Pending sales and closings are validating this standing inventory absorption. Looking back over this data it clearly reaffirms when transactions (Q'2 2008) and then home values bottomed (Q'2 2009).

Prices are rapidly stabilizing in the $50,000 to $250,000 market as new home buyers, but more importantly canny investors, buy up available inventory. This is not going to change with continued Government interest in maintaining buyer tax credits. Price points in markets above $350,000, $500,000 and $1,000,000 are still in flux and will not see firming in the near future, unless individual opportunities make holding or trading sense.

The two fundamental elements are loan availability within FHA lending caps, and at these price points, rentable properties delivering positive cash flow. Fundamentals mean there is better than normal money to be made in rentals. Future appreciation, tax benefits and inflation proofing your portfolio with rental real estate are bonuses.

Investors who can read between the lines have a significant market advantage as they are not driven by media misinformation or skepticism in these numbers. The general media is stirring but they are normally late to economic news. You can take advantage of this as the general market is still shy of real estate.

The Chief Entrepreneurial Orchestrator is defined as a class of those individuals (not define by titles, professions, or circumstances) whose economic function is to create new ideas, new technology, and new creative content (the common characteristics are; creativity, individuality, diversity, and merit). They operate as consultants, contractors, business owners who run for profit and non-for-profit ventures or organizations. They learn how to “Orchestrate” their responsibilities, business functions and resources through virtual help, outsourcing, sub contracting, etc. They operate in a virtual world with virtual offices and virtual resources throughout the world. They are tired of the traditional world and the 9-5 jobs, and they are pursuing and designing their new lifestyles, a lifestyle rich in time, freedom, and choices. In the next few days I am going to write about the “Social Networks” craziness and how is changing how we live. Once you get hook on it, it’s hard to turn it off!

I will start with my own personal story on how I’ve got hooked. About a year ago I started to see a lot of my fellow Real Estate Speakers talking about this craziness and why everyone should get hook on it, they where really talking about how important social media is for marketing purposes. I am the end tip of the baby boomers, so I don’t get easily impress with new technology. I started researching and couldn’t find the reason or meaning of this new craziness.

Then in September 2008 I attended the National REIA Technology and Marketing Forum in Seattle, Washington. There few of my fellow compadres showed us how they where using it and implementing marketing strategies with it. Honestly I found it overwhelming and really hard to understand. But never the less I created my accounts with some of the most used social media such as Link id, My Space, Face book, etc.; I still couldn’t understand why people will like to use “twitter” (will talk about it latter).

I got my profile out and watch other people interact with it. Then all the sudden I receive messages from friends and family that I haven’t heard in a long time, they started posting photos and videos of what was going on in their life. Now I started to see the value of such tool. This will make me get closer to my friends and families. Actually a phony story, I didn’t know that my son shaved his head until he mentioned it in facebook, also I know the where abouts and travels of my daughter because of Myspace. Honestly it makes me feel closer to all of them because of this connectivity tool. This media is really building a strong and a more connected community.

The New CEO 2.0 Manifesto

The new Real Estate Investor and Business Owner-The New Chief Entrepreneurial Orchestrator (Officers), and yes, that is YOU!

I’ve been struggling with two things these last few months, first trying to understand the state of our economy and how different it has been from any other year in the history of the U.S. I’ve also struggle with understanding the changes that are happening to us to our businesses and what to do about it.

We are living in very exciting and challenging times. “Times of Change” in today's, turbulent, often chaotic environment, in which, our commercial and economic success depends on a new way of conducting business and living a new way of life. I call this the new era for the new class of Entrepreneurs, individuals using their full talents and creativity, individuals that will control their business, professional and personal lives. These individuals are professionals as well as business owners.

A “Manifesto,” is a public declaration of principles and intentions, often political in nature, but may also be life stance related, according to wikipedia. In our particular case is one of life changing matters. A “Manifesto” according to Webster Dictionary is an Italian word that means denunciation, manifest, from manifestare to manifest, from Latin manifestu. With this article I am manifesting to you that there is a new class of Entrepreneurs emerging at home and into the world, the New “Chief Entrepreneurial Orchestrator.”

Yet in spite of the myriad of available theories and practices, entrepreneurs are often view as something of a mystery. In part this is because individuals are motivated by different things and in different ways. In the past you had choices. You either decided to work for others as an employee or work for yourself. If you work for yourself you were call a business owner or an entrepreneur, and that was the end of that. Today, because of all the changes in our political environment, in our economic and professional situation, we are force to change lifestyles. Those who see the future will embrace change as a new class, those who don’t will falter into poverty or the unknown.

In his book “The Rise of the Creative Class,” Richard Florida, an academic whose field is Regional Economic Development, explains the rise of a new social class that he labels the creative class. Members include scientists, engineers, architects, educators, writers, artists, entertainers, etc. He defines this class as those whose economic function is to create new ideas, new technology, and new creative content. In general this group shares common characteristics, such as creativity, individuality, diversity, and merit. The author estimates that this group has 38 million members, constitutes more than 30 percent of the U.S. workforce, and profoundly influences work and lifestyle issues. I agree with him, I’ve seen it myself, in the community that I live in and in myself. It is a new class of entrepreneur, this individual work independently from the corporate world looking for the needs and creatively fulfilling those needs. As a professional real estate investor and housing provider I do the same. Find a need and fill it!

Now, another thing that is happening is the changes in our lifestyles. It is sad to see but there is no more middle class in the United States. Our country has become a country of “have and have not.” You either have money or the lifestyle you want or you don’t. You either pay for the full tank of your SUV and go about your business or you complain because you have to make a choice between food or gas up your car, and all because of the high prices. It is also sad to see so many Senior Citizens working at McDonalds and Wal-Mart, not because they want to work (by the way I have nothing against a descent job or Senior Citizens liking to work) but because they need the money to supplement their lifestyle, because social security and their pensions (if any) are not enough for them to survive. I know that I sound a bit harsh and controversial but this is happening under our noses. And my job here is to shake you a bit and to force you to make a choice. Do you want to rise to the occasion and join this new class of entrepreneurs, or are you going to withdraw to your cocoon?

Timothy Ferriss mention on his book “The 4-Hour Workweek,” this new emerging class He calls it the New Rich and the currency of this class is time and mobility, then he added that the art and science is a Lifestyle Design. Not everyone wants to be a Millionaire (and actually you don’t have to be a Millionaire) they want to experience what they believe only millions can buy. Ski chalets, butlers, exotic travel, etc. This new class had learned how to separate time from income and created their ideal lifestyle. Don’t you want to have that freedom and that choice?

The integrants of this new society are free thinkers, people that want to do what they want to do when they want it and whenever they want. They are not bonded neither by time management or bosses or old thinking of work hard. Is all about experiencing existence to the max and cash flowing based on needs and wants aside from traditional work, some call it telecommuters, others freelancers, I call it the New Entrepreneurs. Folks, I can’t emphasize enough, this is a matter of have to. You either make the choice of joining this new and emerging class or you fall into the have not?

I know that these so called choices are happening to a lot of us and most people don’t know how to define them yet. It took me a while to realize it myself. That is why I decided to alert you, to let you know that this new emerging class is what is happening to our country and it is happening to our world. I found some of the authors mentioned here to be the closest to the New Enlighten Society, the new Entrepreneur, and the new CEO, Chief Entrepreneurial Orchestrator.

Let me finish by putting it all together for you. The Chief Entrepreneurial Orchestrator is defined as a class of those individuals (not define by titles, professions, or circumstances) whose economic function is to create new ideas, new technology, and new creative content (the common characteristics are; creativity, individuality, diversity, and merit).
